Sterling Resorts as a Travel and Timeshare company started its journey in 1986 from Chennai with its first resort in Kodaikanal. Having served as a Timeshare and Hotel Resort company the Sterling Holidays as it was called then became a 100% subsidary of Thomas Cook India Limited in 2015, a well known Travel Company in India in a Rs 870cr deal. This was the best thing which could have happened to Sterling Holidays and its members as Thomas Cook then pumped in Rs 90cr to renovate it’s existing properties and also went on a spree to add more resorts and redo them. Sterling Holidays The company today has 59 resorts in 50+ destination and 3000+ rooms with a complete new attitude and professional teams to manage these resorts. The occupancy rates have gone up significantly and business is divided 50-50 between Timeshare and direct guests for leisure on conferences, training programmes etc.
